Starting June 1, 2023, new rules apply to subscription purchases. These rules affect subscription renewals, upgrades, and downgrades.
Renew a subscription
If you want to renew your current plan, keep these rules in mind:
- You can manually renew your subscription no earlier than 30 days before the expiration date. If auto-renewal is enabled, the subscription renews automatically.
- You can renew a subscription only once for a period of up to one year: either 1 or 12 months.
- Only one renewal purchase can be active at a time.
Downgrade a subscription
If you want to switch to a lower-tier plan:
- You can purchase a downgrade no earlier than 1 day before your current plan expires.
- Only one downgrade purchase can be active at a time.
When you downgrade, the new plan starts only after the current subscription expires. To avoid an unwanted renewal, disable auto-renewal before the expiration date.
Upgrade a subscription
If you want to switch to a higher-tier plan:
- You can upgrade at any time.
- The new subscription starts immediately after purchase.
Important
- Auto-renewal is enabled by default when you purchase a subscription for the first time. Your subscription renews automatically every 1 or 12 months, based on the selected billing cycle.
- You can check the auto-renewal status on the Subscription page under Purchase history. The status appears as Active or Cancelled.
